I was moving some servers into a new APC NetShelter rack the other day, and the first thing I tried to install was an APC 2U 3000VA rackmount UPS. The NetShelter is a square hole rack that comes with rack nuts and screws/bolts to match. The UPS rails have holes in them for these bolts… and while the holes on the rear flanges were fine, the holes in the front flanges were too small (wtf?)… so I had to drill out bigger holes in the APC UPS rail kit to work with the APC NetShelter rack bolts. Lame post I know, I just felt like venting a bit. It was one of those late night jobs where I was already tired, and I had to drop everything and drive all the way home (45 minutes one way) to get my drill. I wasn’t a happy camper.
