I just read this old article about Dr. Patrick Thevissen putting an RFID implant into a live human tooth. Well, I find that interesting and I’d like to talk to him about it, but I can’t seem to track this guy down anywhere. According to the Belgium yellow pages, he doesn’t have a practice in Belgium (or the US for that matter)… so I’m putting the feelers out. Anyone ever hear of this guy or more importantly, know how to contact him?

Well, that was quick. I found a PDF via Google that listed Dr. Thevissen as an Odontology speaker at the American Academy of Forensic Sciences’ annual meeting in 2006. I contacted them and they forwarded my email on to Dr. Thevissen, who in turn wrote me back. I’m very interested to hear about what he’s done and what he is currently working on. It should be very interesting indeed!
